Saturday, September 12th we will be launching a “Local Economy Bus Tour,” which will include a tour of T.S. Designs in Burlington (they are the creators of Cotton of the Carolinas and the folks who print “T-shirts for good.”). The bus will also visit Saxapahaw for a tour of Haw River Farmhouse Ales and the Saxapahaw mill. Lunch will be provided by the Saxapahaw General Store, our only local Five Star gas station. Cost of the bus tour is 65.00.
Then we’ll come home to a lively Slow Money Market – a mini-farmers market with samples and wares for sale by several of our Slow Money farmers and food enterpreneurs.
SPECIAL GUEST! Woody Tasch who invented and continues to be the muse of the Slow Money Movement is coming out from CO for the Gathering. He will speak at 4pm on the Stage at The Plant.
A party of dinner, beverages, and music will follow. Saturday’s festivities cost $45-$75.
If you don’t want to register “A La Carte,” you can do the whole Money and Meaning Conference for 175.00.
